E-BOOST successfully concludes, driving the transformation of over 200 European SMEs and start-ups in electromobility
Zaragoza, May 26, 2025 – After thirty months of dedicated work, the E-BOOST project has successfully concluded, making significant strides in strengthening a dynamic and resilient European electromobility ecosystem. Through mentorship programs, B2B events, and cascade funding, more than 200 SMEs and start-ups have enhanced their competitiveness and accelerated their transition toward a greener and more digital economy.
Since its launch in December 2022, E-BOOST has united six partners from six countries, working strategically to support the evolution of the sector. With a budget of €1.4 million, the project allocated €700,000 in cascade funding across seven calls, enabling the development of groundbreaking products, services, and innovations in electromobility.
E-BOOST operated through three fundamental pillars: financing, mentorship, and internationalization strategy. The cascade funding mechanism provided grants to SMEs and start-ups, fostering innovation in electromobility solutions and digitalization. The mentorship program trained businesses in key areas such as digital transformation, strategy development, sales, and competitiveness, equipping them with essential skills for a rapidly evolving market.
The internationalization strategy played a crucial role in expanding business opportunities across Europe. Through market analysis, networking initiatives, and matchmaking events, E-BOOST facilitated valuable connections between industry players, encouraging cross-border collaborations and new business ventures.
The project’s success was driven by a robust consortium: CARA (France), CAAR (Spain), DITECFER (Italy), ANL (Netherlands), LIHH (Germany), and ZNIK SP ZOO (Poland). Each partner contributed expertise in diverse mobility sectors, from automotive and industrial transport to logistics and active mobility, ensuring a comprehensive approach to industry transformation. CARA led the technical coordination, enhancing passenger and freight mobility in France, while CAAR spearheaded dissemination and communication efforts. LIHH focused on internationalization, supporting logistics companies, while ANL strengthened collaborative electromobility ecosystems across Europe. DITECFER facilitated green and digital innovation projects, and ZNIK SP ZOO developed workforce skills through reskilling and upskilling initiatives.
As the project drew to a close, E-BOOST hosted its final conference in Zaragoza as part of the Mobility Innovation and Sustainability Meeting (MISM), a key event that gathered industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the future of electromobility. This conference provided an opportunity to showcase project results, facilitate dialogue between stakeholders, and set the stage for continued collaboration in the sector.
As E-BOOST reaches its conclusion, the consortium remains committed to the continued advancement of electromobility, fostering new strategies that build upon the momentum generated by this initiative. The project has set a benchmark in the sector, positioning SMEs at the forefront of innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.
